             The poem of today's discussion was "The Black Family Pledge" by Maya Angelou. It's basically about how we don't know or remember our ancestors and what they did for us, to get to where we are today. We need to learn how to help and support each other. To pass on knowledge to our children so society doesn't. In class we also talked about how February can be called "Black Future Month". Instead of teaching the past, we could be speaking about what needs to and should be happening in the future.
